Botanical Print Making
10:00 – 11:30 AM in the Amphitheater
Create a botanical print with Laguna Outreach for Community Arts. Everyone can take home their own original print.
Laguna Outreach for Community Arts is a nonprofit coalition of arts educators, professional artists and advocates interested in arts education for people of all ages. They have been serving the community for over 20 years.
Drawing in the Gardens
12:30 – 1:30 PM in the Amphitheater
Enjoy a fun one-hour sketching demonstration and mini-workshop with art instructor, Fred Hope. Join Fred as he explores the visual variety of Roger’s Gardens, as seen through the eyes of the artist in all of us.
Fred Hope is a well-known artist and educator with a history in the entertainment industry. Fred has been teaching in Orange County since leaving the entertainment industry in 2000. Has taught at the Art Center College of Design and Laguna College of Art & Design.
Journal Your Garden Through Art
2:00 – 3:30 PM in the Amphitheater
Learn to draw leaves and flowers and some secrets for drawing in perspective from art instructor Deborah Shaw.
Deborah Shaw is a botanical artist and scientific illustrator. She is a member of the Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California, the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. She has taught at Roger’s Gardens, as well as The Getty, Bowers Museum, the Huntington Library.
Free to the public. No signups required. Great for the whole family, no art experience required.
